CARERS ALLOWANCE

carers, allowance

You can receive Carers Allowance if the person you care for is on PIP – Personal Independence Payment, AA – Attendance Allowance or
CDLA – Child Disability Living Allowance
You must be looking after this person for 35 hours or more a week assisting them with their daily living and helping them stay as independent as possible.

There are advantages of being on Carer’s Allowance, such as still being allowed to work part-time, carers credits, discounts and allowances on Council Tax etc.
